Last week, US Representative Jackie Speier, a member of the US Congress from California, introduced legislation to set up a President's Commission on the Status of Women. Her model for this Commission is the 1961-1963 effort headed up by Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady. Read more about this HERE.
