I actually heard a group of liberal Democrats recently admit that The Oklahoman is a better newspaper since Christy Gaylord Everest was elected president of The Oklahoma Publishing Company in 2002. Imagine that. Go Christy!
As a conservative Democrat, I have to agree with them. Then again, it wouldn't be hard to improve on the product from the Edward L. years; he didn't have old E.K.'s instinct for newsgathering, and if anything, he was even more avaricious.
