Women's Leadership Program Hosts Pipeline to Politics 2008

The University of Oklahoma Carl Albert Center's Women's Leadership Program hosted the "Pipeline to Politics 2008" campaign training on Saturday, January 19 at the Oklahoma History Center. Sessions included "I'm Ready to Run! Putting Together a Winning Campaign Strategy" (moderated by Secretary of State Susan Savage and featuring Deby Snodgrass, Sheryl Lovelady, Somerlyn Cothran and Sarah Burris), "The Backyard Leader: Grassroots Organizing in Your Community" (moderated by Oklahoma Academy Director Julie Knutson and featuring Nancy McDonald, Robyn Tower and Jean Warner), "Thinking Strategically About the Role of Gender & Media in Public Affairs" (Mary Melon, President & Publisher, The Journal Record), "Media Savvy: The ABC's..." (moderated by Judge April Sellers White and featuring Angela Monson, Catheryn Koss, Dana Murphy and Jill Daugherty) plus the closing session (see below)
